cheap! but watch out for those utility bills!

Ridgewood seemed like a great deal at the time i signed my lease. Only problem I had was a leaky faucet, which was fixed immediately. After that, things went down hill in a hurry.
The exterior walls are so thin, you can hear all the 3rd shifters starting up their cars when you are trying to sleep. And if that doesn't wake you, the blasting latino music that immediatly follows will. Don't get me wrong, I like Ricky Martin, but this is absurd. And it's every night.
Biggest problem: heat bills. I live alone in a 1 bdrm and live by a "save energy" creed. My January heat/electric bill was $313. Upon talking to some neighbors, this seems to be the norm.
Don't let the great deals fool you. It is a cheap place to live, but your savings will be eaten up if you plan to stay through the winter.
