Ridgewood is not a luxury community. That's for sure. I don't think it is being marketted as one nor has anyone claimed that it is one. For the area though...you aren't going to find a better deal. It's between paying way too much for the same apartment in Ann Arbor or living in a bad area of student housing for the same price. I'd rather live comfortably here.
Sure the apartment isn't energy efficient, but I'd bet you anything that that person kept their temperature control set at 75 in the winter and 65 in the summer. Please...$200' Not likely. I have the largest apartment here and the highest it's ever been was $100 for gas and electric combined.
Management isn't quite apt to help, i'll admit that, but i'm low maitenence so it's no biggie.
Bottom line...you pay what you get for and for not being able to affrod more, I'm content.
