pfft, it sucked

I moved in here thinking it would be a nice place to stay for a few years til I figured out where I was going to spend the rest of my life. WRONG!
Not only am I still waiting for repairs to be done that I asked for when I moved in (8 months ago) but they are now not renewing our lease "just because sometimes these things happen". No reason, whatsoever. Sounds a heck of a lot like discrimination if they say they are accepting applications and they are an equal housing opportunity place, and then they say "sorry, you can't live here anymore and that's that".
Now, I've also heard stories of people's rent increasing almost $100 from year to year, as well as breaking into the storage units and things like that.
the grounds are kept very nice, and outward appearances are that it's a very nice place. And I guess as long as you'll never need repairs, and you're only going to be there for one year, it's fine. But as a place that has been designed for the young professional, or for students who like some sort of quiet, it's far from the mark anymore. While the noise level doesn't compete with any "college" house apartment, it does get loud on weekends and sometimes during the week too, at bar closing time.
the only good thing about being asked to leave is that they did give us about 6 months notice. yippee.
