I chose Schooner Cove because compared to the other places I searched, Schooner Cove had the best location and a really reasonable price. Also, most of the reviews on here are postive so it sounded like a great deal to me. However, my apartment is on the first floor and I read something about breakins. I was wondering if anyone who lives there now has heard of anything that has happened recently' I'd really appreciate it because I'm from out of town and I really have no way of telling.

I live on the 2nd floor so I can't really be a whole lot of help, but I have been here almost 4 months now and haven't heard of anything. I think it's fine as long as you make sure to keep the doors locked both when you're home and when you're not home, and the basics like keep your blinds closed, etc. I notice that a lot of people around me who do live on the first floor use the porch doors to go in and out instead of going inside the building too so they must lock just like the front door.

I have been at Schooner for almost a year now and haven't heard of anyone having a break in living on the first floor. I am friendly with the ladies that live on the first floor of my building and they have a bar in the slidding doors that they use. They said it came with the apartment. I guess they are standard...
