I like it, but...

I've lived in Schooner cove since last summer. I really do like it here, it's a nice community and the lake is really pretty in the summer. I recently transfered from a 2 bedroom to a one bedroom to save about $150 a month. It's not much of a noticeable difference in space, only 100 sq. ft. smaller. The apartment is still huge and has plenty of storage space. I would like to say that the transition was very easy and the manager, Marena, was very accommodating of our needs and we were able to get into a new apartment in just over a week's time. The office staff are all very friendly, just slightly unorganized, it seems. We received a notice demanding we pay rent because the paperwork was processed incorrectly. They said they would take care of it though. While most of my neighbors are friendly and I'll stress VERY QUIET, there is a troublemaker in my building, which of course can happen anywhere. I had to make 2 phone calls to Ypsi twp. non-emergency last night between midnight and 2am due to a drunk man who lives downstairs. He was so far gone, he kept walking up and down the stairs and knocking on people's doors including mine something like 3 of 4 times. He was so wasted he was falling everywhere and even tried to open my door at one point. The police and night security had to come over twice. Apparently it's not the first time this guy has caused trouble. I really hope McKinley takes the necessary action against this guy because it's not right that I can't feel safe in my own apartment. My dog was going crazy and I couldn't even let him outside because the guy would not stay in his own apartment - except of course the 2nd time the cops showed up. But then he was back out in the hall minutes later. It figures. Now this is definitely a nice apartment complex, don't get me wrong, but right now I'm a little frustrated. We'll see how this action plays out. I now have Ypsi police non-emergency programed in my phone.
