In reading the initial review, I too contacted the Washtenaw County Sheriffs Department, they verified that these "armed robberies" DID NOT happen at Schooner Cove; nor did any attempted robberies. It is important to get facts prior to making allegations that can be verified. My roommate and I have spoken with the Loss Prevention officer while in our building one evening. The claims of them not here again are unfounded. You state the manager and office staff pretend not to know of any crimes being committed; again if residents are not making them aware of a situation how would they know'' I asked WCSD if they contact McKinley/Schooner Cove with every call; "absolutely not" was the response! Our building has flyers galore: LPS, Coke & Smile and referral flyer!!
It sounds as if you have a personal issue with the manager/staff for some reason. Many of us do not! Hopefully other residents will follow suite and call the police department for themselves!

Ignorance is bliss, "Abby"! By the way, people in the complex refer to Marina as the "bipolar b tch"! because she is only nice on Thursday and Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundays she is like the wicked witch and then on Monday and Tuesdays, she walks around in a daze wondering who she really is. Now she thinks her name is Abby when really it should be BLABBY the manager. Get a grip, she is a fake.....and only idiots believe otherwise

Actually, that last comment was from me, my name is Abby and I'm a resident here with my roommate for a few years now. We love it here and we think Marena and her staff are great. They are always such happy people when we see them.

My only advice is if you have that big of a problem with marina and or the rest of the staff let them know and im sure they will will fix it for you. Im sure there is a better way than hiding behind a computer typing all day and getting personall its just rude. In response to the robberies hopefully everyone will attend the neighborhood watch meeting to voice thier opinion i know ill be there. As i have before, i have lived here for about 3 yrs and have never had a safety issue but thats just me?!

all i know is that i have never felt unsafe in my building. one day my seatbelt got caught in the door of my car, and i didnt realize it but my door was wide open all night. when i got to my car the next morning, nothing was taken from my car and no one had stolen it. i think that shows what a safe place this can be. in the building across from mine i have seen ambulances/fire trucks at that building atleast once a week, sometimes twice. but i just assumed someone was just ill living in that building. as far as this being the property manager acting as a resident, it probably is. haha. but i still like living here.

I can't believe you guys are putting down the complex and Marena. I will soon be here a year, and I've not had a problem with any one. Just because Marena is very friendly you think she's fake. Well she is not !! She has bent over backwards to help me and I'm sure she has done it for all of you too. I'm very pleased to be here where I can go to bed at night and not be afraid. Could it be that the day you was in there, she might have had something on her mind ??. She has a family and problems too you know. No one out of this many people can all be totally happy. But tell the office about it, and I can assure you that it will get taken care of immediately. Please don't be catty or hurtful, that never gets anything accomplished. This is a great place to live and people need to get lives, and quit running it down.
