Hello, I feel like Im damned if I do and damned if I don't. I like living here but if I moved out, would I find a better apartment then this one. I love this apartment. The floor plan is perfect and location of the building is great. I always have parking in front. My neighbors aren't loud. Although the smoke gets to me. My neighbors below me smells really bad and it comes right into my unit. In the summer I have to close window because she has her opened. Im not sure she relizes how bad she smells. I think all that smoking she has burned out her sense of smell. And I think she has a dead animal some where in her unit. You know that smell you get when you drive past road kill. Well thats the smell. And when I first moved in I could also hear her getting down and dirty. Not the best wake up call. Its really sad when you know your neighbors a morning person (but I think they have since then broken up). Hint building 8775,You might want to keep the moaning to a minimum.
Although I wish things could be different, lets face it. Until I buy a place of own, I have no right to complain and give schooner a bad rep. I have had some issues with unit like the patio had a cat piss smell from the previous tenet, and my roof leaked, and the tile kepted sticking up, but they were so helpful in working with to me get that problem taken care of.
I keep reading all these reviews and honestly although I can agree with some like the AUM being a complete rip off and the windows really are for crap here. I have bees and spiders with huge eye balls creaping in through the gaps in the summer. And I mean those spider could give you a high five if you let them. HUGE. I do wish they would replace these windows. In the winter, forget about being warm. In fact don't even turn your heat on becuase that goes out the windows. For those of you living on the bottom floor, I am so sorry. I know your DTE bill had to of been expensive. Im on the third floor. I stayed warm all winter but I have to tape off my vents because the neighbor below me smells so bad so I was able to get away with using a floor heater. And still be bills were high on some months. So yes the catch 22 is that there are some negatives but also a lot of great positives. Like the laundry room has two washers and dryers and you don't need coins to do laundry. The staff and maintance always work with me on resolving an issue. I have never had a problem with staff. I keep hearing people knocking down this complex but honestly I love it here. My lease is almost up and I have been looking at some other places and reading reviews and the kinds of things I was reading at other places made me feel so good about considering signing a second lease here. Trust me. Your problems here are quick fixs and have nothing to do with schooner and a whole. Ive read a lot of reviews on this place and I can agree with some but most of you need to stop. Your taking things to a level that it doesn't have to go to. Becuase maintance can't help you out right away you feel the need to get pissed off and write about it. Well you do have that right but keep in mind people like myself can see it is just personal with you. It has nothing to do with the community you live in or really with the staff or maintance. I really don't know how to else to say this and I don't want to offend anyone, other then my stinky neighbor that needs to quit smoking so much and do a little spring cleaning and try to find that dead thing,It to late Ive already offened her but some of you get so upset when things aren't handle in a manner you feel they shoud be handled. Or if some thing is said that rubs you the wrong way, it seems like a lot of the negative words spoken are just out of anger and rage due to lack of communication or lack of respect. It isn't that staff or maintace isn't trying to help you out. Its just that you want it done or handled your way. If Im wrong about this then Im sorry you really aren't enjoying the life style here. I for one think the crime rate here is great, the people are nice and friendly. The maintance crew really do care and will try to assist and for the staff well Im satisfied. Like I said its a catch 22, good and bad, But nothing so horrible that my health or safety are at risk.
And to the staff and maintance that read this, you all take so much crap and slander from so many people that it is amazing that you keep a smile on you face and continue to stay and do your job. Im greatful that you guys are the ones in charge, because I have lived in other complexes and so far other then the pines of cloverlane(who were awesome) I think your all a great group of people and the best so far. I am still considering signing that second lease. It just depends on stinky and the windows and what Im willing to put up with for another year! giggles.
P.S for those of you considering this place, well you never truely know until find out for yourself. Different strokes for different folks but honeslty its worth the money and the park is so close and great for excise and looking at the water is so relaxing and refreshing. They have a bench you can sit on and lots of land to throw a beach towel down and take it all in. Its great for summer. Winter all depends on you and what your willing to live with. To "giggles" in 8775 who is caught up in their drug induced psychotic "catch 22". You were either on some very good drugs when you wrote that review, are a complete liar, or unintelligent and in a deep psychotic state. I lived at Schooner Cove and the crime rate is off the hook with people getting killed and girls getting raped. And as for the nice little park you are talking about, there is so much crime there that a girl was stabbed there when she was walking her dog. In the future, proofread before you post. Your review doesnt make sense and is full of grammar and other errors. If I was the person that lived below you, I would find out who you were and come kick your a*s. How do you know it's not your own nasty stank that you smell and two cats humping outside that you hear. How you going to call your neighbors out like that and then talk about nasty, angry comments? You sound awful angry to me yourself and VERY unstable. Since people know where you live now, if I was your neighbors, I would be hunting you down. Ever heard of four flats? You are going to need some good drugs when they get done with you!

ABsolutely not......... this place is a complete ---- hole, yes you can hear the people haveing sex next door and you can get the smell even if your neighbour just boiled an egg... it is because the vents are shared and for some reason you are responsible to cool/heat the building as one of your vent is outside your apartment next to the exit of your apartment.. Can u believe it ?? plan to spend atleast 50$ for 2 people water/trash bill, 100$ DTE bill in (Summer) and around 250-300$(in winter) for a 1 bedroom apartments........... the only reason I am still here is cz of my signed lease and my boy friend being out of work.......... the sooner he gets a job and I am out of here........ Do Not Sign a Lease Here........ in the office that old manager Maria is rude like hell, she will smile and bend over for you when u come to sign the lease but will turn into a complete b_i_t_c_h once you have signed the lease..... u r better off living in a tent then here.......

"giggles"! think i finally guessed which apartment that you live in. you are the third floor. we used to live on the second floor and i think i know who you are. do you drive a silver car? we used to hear moaning from your apartment too when you had some fat chick over. what was that moaning all about? so...give us some more of your psycho babble.
