I've lived in Lake Shore for a year, now, and I haven't had any problems. Most of these complaints on this website can be experienced anywhere. My previous residence was a much nicer looking complex, in a nicer area, and much more expensive, but had the same problems, and we didn't have the security on staff that Lake Shore does. Cars get broken into everywhere, things get stolen everywhere, people get killed by doing stupid stuff everywhere, and drug dealers live EVERYWHERE. It's Ypsilanti Township, not Bloomfield Hills; this is what renter's insurance and auto insurance is for. The rest of the stuff...that's apartment life, people! Idiots are going to party, people are going to be noisy, and folks are gonna get a little rowdy anywhere you go. As far as the management and leasing team go, I've never had a problem with them at all. All the girls in the office have been nothing but extremely nice to me (and I'm not white, so don't blame that), and they're very good people; maintenance has never stolen from me, and is always very prompt when asked to fix stuff.

I would totally recommend living here if you're a little younger and can handle apartment life. This complex has a very diverse mix of people, so there's always a need to be prepared for such. I love it here to the point where I just renewed my lease, and just may do so again next year. This place has come a long way since "Lake In The Hood," and to be forward, I dig it.

I lived there the lakeside and the rest of the complex are very differnt it has more problems than you say simply becauseit is an old complex you hear your neighbors very clearly especially their water. Also you arent living in Ypsilanti Township it is belleville and you are in washtenaw county! By the way the apt I live in now is in yspi township I pay less have only 1 bathroom but do not deal with crime or noise!

48198 is Ypsilanti Township. Belleville is in Wayne County. 1) If you don't live here any longer, don't complain, and 2) Buy a map. I live in the tower and like it just fine. You just can't please everyone.
