Before I started writing this review I read almost all of these reviews. Some seemed unfair but I can definately understand where the unhappy tentants are coming from. I lived in Lake Shore about 3.5 years ago. I had no problem with the management or the maintenance crew, I had good neighbors until a few months before I moved out. I lived on the lake and that seemed to be party central and out of control. I am a single parent and was very concerned about our safety alot of times and how rude the tenants in the bulding could be-- the constant shouting at 2 in the morning. I left after a year and didn't plan to come back. Here it is years later and life happens and yes, I looked at all area apartments and read the reviews and I came back to Lake Shore. Why' It was very clear to me that there was new management, that Lake Shore is trying very hard to clean up their act. I am sure this is a work in progress. The rent is reasonable (although I know I am going to have sticker shock when I get my electric bill since I'm on the 3rd floor), the grounds are well groomed and the sales/office and maintenance staff are exceptional! I very safe where I am and although I passed on the lake front property, I am in a very quiet building and yes, there is still music blaring at 1 in the morning (I can't figure out how or why security let them do this) but you will get that rudness anywhere. I'd like to say to mangement/staff and maintenance at Lake Shore, thank you for making me feel at home and taking great care of me and my family.
