I've been have for just over a year and moved here in a fix...the office staff can be really helpful depending on who you talk to (there are certain people I'll call back to talk to rather than dealing with others). Everything I've ever asked to have fixed (which has only been like 4 minor things in the last year) has been done quickly and correctly. I'm staying here for another year out of sheer convenience and that I didn't get my renewal notice in near enough time. Having to pay for all of the utilities SUX though...I think that is a rip.

I don't have any real problems with noise...I think that they tend to really "segregate" their renters...like all the college kids are in the back, families in the middle, professionals in the front...but I think that's pretty standard anywhere.

As for safety, I'm pretty sure I've seen some shifty stuff going on in the past, but not so anymore. Pittsfield Twp. and Washtenaw County police have picked up their patrols.

My biggest complaint is the speed at which people tear down the main road that branches off to all the apartments...people go WAY to fast, considering the geese and ducks crossing, kids walking back from their school buses, and people out walking in general. A speed limit sign needs to be posted at the entrance of the complex.
