I thought I liked the Pines, but overall it has NOT been my favorite place to live.

As far as parking goes I'm pretty lucky, not a huge problem for me. I have friends who live across the pond from me that have to walk quite a ways to their apartment. It's SUPER scary since the lamps aren't always working and you always have to look over your shoulder. A lot of crime has been reported here. I only know this because a statement is posted in our apartment every time an occurrence takes place! I suppose I should give it up to the staff for being honest, my guess is that they have to inform people of this by law. My roommate saw some guys walking up to cars at 3 in the morning, trying car handles, and looking in. The cops showed up, but that doesn't make me fell any safer. Apparently this has happened quite a few times.

Noise' Yeah, it's an apartment complex what do you expect' Overall it isn't horrible, but you definitely hear conversations, televisions, toilets flushing, my neighbor coughing. I just tune it out. That's what you have to do in an apartment right'

I see a maintenance person picking up trash every morning when I leave for work around the parking lot. HELLO'' How about all the trash inconsiderate neighbors leave in front of the apartment' It's a shame people don't pick up after themselves. I've given up. I used to try and pick stuff up, there is just too much junk.

My apartment is FREEZING! The buildings are pretty dated, windows are really drafty. The apartment community contracted some painters to paint all of the buildings; looks nice but I would rather have windows that worked. That summer they painted SUCKED because there were people on the roof (and hanging out on my balcony!) for what seemed like forever. NOISY and they sprayed the buildings so my windows always look dirty because of the paint on my windows!

Maintenance. Sigh. I'm not sure who to go off on. Should it be maintenance because I have to place a call 2 or 3 times because the repair wasn't done right the first time' Or should it be management because they haven't bothered to replace the extremely out dated appliances' My garbage disposal that has been "fixed" 3 times, my dishwasher that has been fixed, hell, I can't tell you how many times, it leaks all over my floor or just plain doesn't work, the fridge leaks and is so out dated that it freezes everything; it just doesn?t keep an accurate temperature.

The staff is hit or miss. They are either really rude, or surprisingly helpful. Maybe they have to live on site and are unhappy with the condition of their apartment too' I hope that you catch them on a good day, or you're in for it.

My neighbors have what seems like 6 ADULTS that live in a two bedroom apartment. They are nice enough, but it's an extreme inconvenience when there isn't any hot water or when the one washer and dryer for the entire building is ALWYAS occupied.

I'm not happy that I've lived here for over two years and my rent is higher than anyone else in my apartment building. I'm leaving.
