Not bad Compared to the Rest of the Ypsi Apartments

I have lived here a little over a year in two different apartments. The leasing agents seem to change about every 4 months. The maintenance people seem to take a few times to get the job done right. When I moved in this last time into my "own" apartment (non-renovated) they said it was ready and there was still several things that had to be fixed on the day I was moving in. The Balcony screen had a big rip in it, the carpet was coming up in the dining room, the bathroom sink drain was broken, the entrance hall light did not work, the outlets (are still) very loose, some of the outlets didn't even work and the A/C was not working. I have dogs and live on the 3rd floor so the A/C is very important when I'm not home.. (heat rises) I moved in, In May and Maint' said they charge the A/C in June when it gets hotter so I would have to wait. I dealt with it for about 2 weeks when the 80 degree weather started to hit and called back to the leasing center and they said they have no idea why the Maint' man told me that. They would come fix it right away. (another HOT week later). I was told I could have an accent wall painted for FREE because I was a new resident and that it would only take a day to get it painted. They also said it would be done before I moved in.. Well they didn't get in to paint it for about 2 weeks after I had my keys (waited an hour for my keys). I refused to move all the way in until they painted the apartment. My concern was being at work all day while it was getting painted and leaving my two dogs alone in their cages while they are barking at the painters and sniffing paint fumes all day.. I told the leasing agents that and this one girl said it would be fine that they would prop a window open and check on my dogs. That was not acceptable to me. They told me they would give me a rent credit for the two weeks that I was unable to move in and they never did. It has only been 4 months and now the kitchen drawers are falling off of the sliders everytime I open them and one of the closet doors has completely falling off the hinges (and fell on me.....) The parking is ok if you get home before 8pm. There is Goose poop all over the place. It's a lovely treat for the dogs :-( No I am not one of those nasty people who don't clean up after their pet. Actually I am very upset that some people can't take responsibility for their own pets. But just because certain people in this complex don't pick up after their dogs, Don't hate on me for the same thing just because you see me walking my dogs. There is a very rude lady that lives here that seems to think she is on the Dog Poop Patrol... I was warned about her when I was in my other building last year, but I never thought I would end up in the same building as her! Lucky me. I understand her concern with the amount of people out here that don't pick up after their dogs, but she will accuse anyone who is just walking their dog down the street. She screems out of her car window while she is driving by or when she is walking. She say's she is on the "Board" and will charge you $50.00, but there is no "Board".. She has approached me once and only once because I had to put her in her place, but there's nothing like trying to enjoy a day on your balcony when someone is screaming about dog poop all day.. The rest of the people out here seem nice. The theft seems to be getting worse. We just got a notice that people are theiving in the middle of the night out of cars. I have had a few friends get their apartments broken into..
