Incompetant Staff. Very Loud Apts. Police inspecting criminal activity regularly. Lots of questionable people just roaming around in the streets. Disgusting filthy apartments that look nothing like what is shown online. Easily the worst place we have lived. Maintenance staff are morons and treat you as if you are a child, they do poor quality work and do very little to maintain the property. Fogged up windows from broken seals on dual pane windows can be seen throughout the complex. Water heater is shared by everyone in your building (12 units) so if you are in the shower and someone flushes or turns on the dishwasher or uses the clothes washer get ready to be burned and frozen in the shower daily. I think some of the staff honestly try to be nice, but they just lack the intelligence, motivation and empathy to be competant at their jobs.

I am sorry you feel that way, I too am a new resident to The Pines and I think it is a very beautiful peaceful place to live. My only complaints have been the geese, as cool as they are, they do leave behind a multitude of presents, if you know what I mean. Anyway the office girls have always been very nice and helpful and my 2nd floor apartment was very nice at the time of move in. I hope you have a better day. signed very happy at the pines

The Pines has gone down hill...a steep hill. The crime is a sign of the times. The staff is a sad group. It is also sad what has happened to that place over the years. It's gone ghetto in the worst way possible. I'm happy I got out of there.

In response to Grandma_Shanie comments on 10/13/2008...
I know that the Pines has purchased the Hunt Club. From talking with some of the Hunt Club residents they are afraid that their complex will begin to be run like the Pines, that is, into the ground. The people in my complex are quiet and respectful, yet you can still hear every sound. Now that construction on the road extension is in full swing the constant sound of trucks zooming by, shaking the ground is just an added bonus. I also love the sound of the maintenance guy that rides around on his little motorcycle like a crazed speed demon picking up scraps of trash, why don't they use one of those golf carts? As for the police, I know the difference between a police patrol and when I see an investigator collecting evidence. I didn't say that a lot of police cars can be seen driving through the complex regularly I SAID THEY CAN BE SEEN INSPECTING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY. I have seen police three different times at three different door steps and one occasion where an investigator was collecting evidence from an (attempted?) break in - all at different units in our complex. Thanks for the suggestion about maid service Grandma Shanie - I'd like you to scrub my floors on your hands and knees - I didn't say that I keep my apartment filthy I said the apartments are filthy, upon move-in. Maintenance is quick to respond to most issues but their attention to detail is so lacking that a blind chimpanzee could do a better job. Okay, Pines bought Hunt Club and now the maintenance staff from the Pines has to cover 2 apt complexes, so... what happened to the maintenance staff at the Hunt Club?? Did they get fired, did they quit, did they vanish like magic or does your argument just not make any sense!? I have never seen the windows in the laundry room fog up because we keep a window slighlty open at all times, but a walk through the complex reveals tons of residents windows that are fogged. This is an eyesore, shows the maintenance staffs lack of concern about aesthetic details, and reduces the energy efficiency of the apts. In regards to the shared water heater by multiple units I can honestly say that I get burned or frozen at least 6 out of 7 days a week, and I shower daily (DUH!!! Grandma DUH!!!) and not always at the same exact time - it also takes approximately 5 minutes to get new hot water to the kitchen sink. So lets say you want to rinse your dinner dishes before putting them into the dishwasher, turn the water in the kitchen sink to hot, turn the water pressure up all the way and wait, and wait, and wait about 5 minutes as you sadly watch one of our most precious natural resources, WATER, go down the drain. I try to be eco friendly, so unless I am washing something that won't fit in the dishwasher I just use the cold water. I think I have helped clarify Grannies arguments.
On a final note to Grandma Shanie. You really sound like you work in the office because your ability to read and understand my original review is so limited. Just like the staff in the office Grandma, I can talk until I am blue in the face, I can draw pretty pictures for you/them, I can even break out the old slide rule but the office staff will still look at you with that blank uncomprehending look and then they smile. Stupidity never looked so cute and innocent. Grandma I am sure you are a nice person, even with your limited IQ, but please stop defending this dump - maybe if enough people complain and people stop renting here they might actually invest a penny or two and fix this place up.

I am not sure if you know that the staff are running 2 complexes right now due to taking over the former "Hunt Club". I have been here over a year and think they are doing a GREAT job. Not a huge problem with noise in my building...maybe it's your neighbors?!?!?! As far as the "police insepecting criminal activity regularly"...have you thought that they may just be driving thru to make sure nothing is going on....DUH!!!! Questionable people??? Haven't seen any, but who am I judge someone. The aparments online are the upgraded models...every complex has them....I have an ORIGINAL model No updates since the thing was built except carpet and it is neither disgusting nor filthy...maybe you need a maid service!!! A far as Maintence I have had some real problems over the last month and they where right on top of it...you also have to consider they are taking care of 2 complexes as well until they get new staff at the other property...did you not see fogged up windows when you moved in??...could those be windows in the laundry rooms....DUH!!!! If it happens everytime...change the time you use the shower. I think the only person here that "lacks the intellgence, motivation and empathy to be competant" is you.....Grow Up!!NO,I am not an employee just a person who lives at the Pines and Loves living at the pines!!!!!
