The Pines is like a timeshare.

I seriously love it.

I lived in downtown Ypsilanti for all of college and wanted to be nearby EMU for grad school but was sick of people knocking on my windows in depot town asking if I had any cans they could return.

I mean, I'm all about recycling and I appreciate the doorside service (haha) but it gets a little creepy.

So anyways, I skipped out on spring break this year after graduation so that I could save up for an expensive move to a nice apartment.

Then I found The Pines.

They are giving away free rent until July so I got hooked up with that, paid a total of $236 for my security deposit and some key phobe things for the cafe and gym to get moved in and am not paying another dime until rent is due in July.

So I was going to proceed with my spring break plan since I didn't have to pay the usual month plus in rent and I'm already moved in but they just opened one of two pools and there are tennis courts everywhere and my new apartment is so pretty with all remodled stuff that I'm just not going to leave.

Go figure.

I've met most of the staff and everyone is really nice and they all live here and the maintenance staff all seem really great and service is super quick.

I had to turn in a move in checklist so that they could go in and fix anything that wasn't perfect and they came the next day and replaced my bathroom mirror because it didn't seem as new as my counters.
