Won't be renewing

I used to love this place -- it was well-run, staff were friendly, and the rent was cheap. Last spring/summer, it all seemed to fall apart: office was perpetually closed, nothing got fixed, no answers. Then a holding company (Finsilver Friedman) took over, and there were still no real answers, but at least the office was open. We had a *horrible* time getting them to send us a copy of the lease renewal we signed. Yes! We couldn't get a copy of a form WE SIGNED because the "regional manager has to sign it" -- whatevs. Now McKinley has hold of the property and we're "The Villas" -- as if the name change changes the way we see it. Ha!
Last month, someone put a brick through my windshield. I'd like to see better security around here, rather than an "internet cafe."
Now, they've been in my home several times without my permission (if I needed anything fixed, I'd tell them), and the pounding and hammering start at 8 a.m. -- not so good for people doing shift work. The utilities bill (water and garbage disposal) appeared out of nowhere last year and has doubled without reason -- the person who commented below about the lack of water meters and the "magic" numbers is right on -- seems like a sneaky way to raise the rent, since it all goes to the apartment complex on one check...
I'm not happy here and won't be renewing my lease when it comes up. It's a shame, because it used to be a pretty good deal.
