When looking for a place to live last summer, I was so excited to find The Villas. Kelly was so nice and totally got us excited to live there. When we moved in, she was no longer there. I found out a couple months ago she left because McKinley kept telling her lies she was selling to the clients. Jeremy is very nice and wants to help, and even the maintenance guy was nice, but it is obvious their hands are tied by the bonds of McKinley. They can only do so much.

At first the apartment was nice. As we were moving in, our friends wanted to move there too, and apparently the rent went up from when we applied to when we signed the lease, and they wouldn't work with us on the price. Ok...whatever, we got past it.

We were told our utility bills would be $15-20 max every month. It was easily $80-$110 by November. Ok...we were told gas went up. Ok..we haven't used heat since January...why was our March bill $107. Oh, thats right, because they divide the property use among the tenents. I was paying for other people to heat their apts. Not to mention the hallways that were 90 degrees all the time.

Fitness Center - Promised to be done by October 2006, still not even started.
New Balcony - Promised by October, then personally promised by the Regional McKinley manager before Christmas. We just asked to have someone come and sand it down so we wouldn't get splinters. They are replacing it today.

Emergency call for a leak - The apartment above ours began leaking into our bathroom. We called the emergency line right away, and told them there was a steady stream of water into our bathroom from above. The guy said he would be there in a few hours. "THis is the emergency # right' Yeah...I will be there in a few hours" Apparently there was some sort of party or something as the office was closed. We guessed he was there having fun. It took a week for the work "to get approved" to be fixed. That wasn't the maintenance guys fault, but still gross! There was mold growing out of the ceiling and from behind the tile!

Front doors unlocked - THe main door to the building is unlocked probably 2/7 days. I know that the people who share the building keep messing with it, but that isn't my fault. When there was a rape last summer in one of the buildings, it should be the #1 priority to ensure we are safe. It can take 2-3days everytime to get the locked fixed. Maybe they just need a new type of lock'

Drug deals!!! I see drug deals from my balcony every day. I don't even like sitting out there at night as I don't want to accidentally "witness" anything. I told the property manager and regional manager...that is what the contract with the police is for. Okay....they are there once a day for a drive through. There really needs to be a constant patrol.

Speed bumps! These things are atrocious!!! I had to replace the front axles on my car because of it...and I could crawl over it faster than I drive! Just a little asphalt would help even it up and make it car friendly!

Drug Deals???? Did you actually witness a drug deal or are you just stereotpying and making assumptions of situation(s) that may have never taken place??? This concerns me...did you see money exchanged and some sort of narcotic passed and than used by supposed drug abuser???? And finally, thats what speed bumps are for, to stop you from speeding, idiot!!!
