Iv lived here now for almost a year and just renewed my lease with them. Its been a good place to live so far. The people in the office are nice when I call with a problem in my apartment they fix it.

Its located on the bus line which makes it easy for me to get to school and they arnt rediculusly priced like most apartments in Ann Arbor.

So yeah if your looking for a new place to stay I would recomend you check this place out

How much are the utilities every month? When I lived there they were very, very expensive... Well over a HUNDRED EXTRA dollars per month. Also you review doesn't match my experience and the others posted. I suspect this review is someone who may work there. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE!!!!!!

I was actually thinking the same thing.. must be an employee because no one I've talked to in my 9 months of living here has a whole lot of positive things to say about this place. To answer your question, as of now, we have an extra bill to pay WITH rent. It's the AUM bill which consists of water, sewage, gas, trash, and an admin charge. Mine was $96 for the month of March and that amount is not out of the ordinary. Up until May 1st, this bill was like any other utility bill and was to be paid on it's own - seperate from rent. If the bill couldn't be paid on time, a late fee of $10 was added to the next statement. But NOW this bill MUST be paid WITH rent and if it is not, you are charged the apartment's late fee which is much higher. (I've never paid my rent late so I'm unsure on specifics but I know it is more than $10). This management is for ----. I hate McKinley and will NEVER rent from them again. I hope this review helps!! Also, in addition to the rent and AUM bill, you will also be responsible for paying a DTE bill (heat and electric) of which you have no control over. Everyone in the apartments is charged the same amount every month. So, if you decide to cut back on your heat in the month of December because money is tight, too bad for you because you'll still be paying it anyway!
