The villas on first sight looks like a nice place to live. STAY AWAY, they tell you the rates will be one thing and they send you a late bill a month later with charges you never knew about, they also bill you screwy, the electric is through DTE which is normal but the rest water, sewer, trash, gas is through AUM and they don't bill individually they bill by building (in other words, you could turn off all your stuff and not use anything and still get a bill for 80bucks) because they bill by the building usage and the number of apartments and divide it up. they also give you notices like a day or two in advance and say "we're coming in with the mortgage company to inspect, thanks in advance for your cooperation". Um no, you need my permission. their "FREE INTERNET" works about as fast as dial-up and rarely works it was out for 3 weeks at a time. the staff is awful and incompetent. not to mention there are a TON OF ANTS>

I was a resident a number of years ago when It was called Apple Tree. The utilities that McKinley charges is off of the charts. I have watched these rating for this property go from among the highest, to the lowest. If you imagine what they charge ($80) you per resident in utilities and multiply that by even 100 residents, you get EIGHT THOUSAND Dollars for one month, or $96,000 per year. Honestly, I would imagine that they are charging extra to make more of a profit. If the utilities were so expensive, other properties wouldn't give these services for free. Mckinley is out too make profit not provide decent housing. If they did, their ratings wouldn't be so rotten...
