I have lived at this apartment for the past 2 years and all I can say is that I have 2 months left and I am counting down the days till I get out of this nasty dump!

Everything started out great when we came to look at moving in here. The grounds were decent, they had a nice indoor pool area, and the aprtments they showed us seemed to be well maintained. We moved into the apartment and after about 3 months everything went downhill.

First of all we got a renewal lease just 4 months after living here saying that we had to renew the lease by the end of January (after only being here since the beginning of Sept) and if we didn't renew they were allowed to start showing our apartment immediately to interested applicants. If they liked it they were allowed to sign a pre-lease on the apartment which meant we would not be allowed to renew! Who ever heard of having to renew a lease 8 months before it was up''' So of course we renewed because we had been happy so far even though we did complain to management about having to renew so early. And what a mistake that turned out to be.

Within a month of renewing the lease, they closed the indoor pool because of the fact that it was getting trashed daily because there is no form of security or monitoring and anyone had access to it. Yard work was not being done on a regular basis and the parking lot was always full of trash.

Slowly we started to learn how they like to "patch" maintenence issues and were so slow to respond to problems in apartments. Many of our appliances broke numerous times and it usually took any were from 5-10 days for them to respond.(ex: there is a pipe that has been leaking from someone's bathroom into the hall for over a year and all they do is keep patching the ceiling) Even then, they handled problems by patching the problem and not truly fixing them. We have had several problems with ants, and it must be the entire apartment because they have come several times to all the apartments to try rid us of our six-legged friends.

They advertise nice laundry rooms, HA HA. There has not been one time since we have moved in that at least one dryer or washer has not be broken. The common areas such as hallways and stairwells are always trashed with garbage, cigarette butts, beer cans, and etc. Talk about embarassing, who wants family or friends to walk into a hallway that you have to dodge the garbage to get to your front door beside the fact that you can get a contact buzz walking down the hallway from all the pot smoking that goes on here! A few months ago to cut costs and add two new parking spaces they cut down from 4 dumpsters that were already being overflowed each week, down to two. Half the time you can't even get near the dumpster to throw in your trash. You just take aim and hope it hits the top of the heap.

There is always lots of congregating in the parking at all hours of the day and night. People drinking beer and thumping their music. Just the other night the police were here again because of another fight that broke out here at 2 in the morning! More then once we have walked into the apartment to find people hanging out in the hallway smoking weed and drinking beer. There is no locks on any of the outside doors, no monitors, so basically anyone come come into the complex at anytime. It's very unsafe here.

The apartment was not that bad in itself. Although when we moved in the carpet and everything had not been cleaned well at all and that there were several things we had reported to the manager that needed fixed, although we were told that the previous tenant's security deposit went toward any problems that they left when they moved out and none of those probelms were ever fixed until we started complaing on a regular basis.

Overall, my time here has been miserable. I hate having friends and family over because of the appearence of this place and up-keep is far from even being remotely presentable. Management is not friendly or efficient and never would I recommend this place to anyone unless you like living in a slum.

A few things we did like:
-the lay-out of the apartment
- maintenence workers were pleasant the times when they did show up
- the size of the bedrooms
- convenient location to EMU
