Devonshire has been a wonderful place to have moved my family into. While selling my 3000 sq ft home and moving into 1000 sq ft or so has been a little tight, it did force me to finally "clean sweep" what I didn't need anymore. The garage is great for the extra storage room I needed and there is plenty of parking in the clusters.
We love the area, my nephew uses the pool when he's around, the staff is great (Alicia is THE BEST and I just love her!). A friend of mine asked me where I moved to up here. He was a resident in the townhomes a few years ago...and this is where he was going to tell me to move into but I was already here. HA-HA
The townhome was very clean and everything worked (and still does) just fine. The air broke when we moved in but only because the breaker was tripped, and then my spinner in the washer popped off but hey, I probably did it overloading it (my washer in my house was heavy-duty)!
My neighbors have been great and there are times when we hear each other. There are some college-aged kids who go to nearby schools but they've been great as young neighbors too...when they do get a little noisy in the summer, its because they're playing volleyball, tennis or swimming and when having fun, we all get a little loud. If you let them know to be quieter, they have always done so without any negativity or smirking at us older folks. VERY friendly atmosphere here.
If you are looking to move into a great neighborhood - this is the place to be. If you want total 100% peace and quiet, live in the country. If you want a decent place to live, at a good price, where you can feel safe with the kids outside, THIS IS THE PLACE. So much to do and you're 5 minutes from just about anything.
A few extra words, but mostly some common sense if you do choose to move into Devonshire:
To dog owners like me: management does enforce the rules when you tell them. If you have a dog, pick up after them...the people in the subdivision are usually the ones that do not adhere to this policy of ours and I've chased them down to tell them.
Drive a little slower than the posted 25 mph because we are kid-friendly.
Invest in Renters Insurance. This is a must for anyone renting. If you had a home, you'd have insurance on the house.

I have to agree that Alicia was the only one in the office that seemed to know anything. I pretty much disagree with the rest of your review, except for the very nice final three paragraphs. At least you had a better experience than I did!
