I have lived in the Pebblebrook apartment Building II since May, I can't wait for my lease to be up!! So far between my roommate and I, our car has been broken into, our bike seat has been stolen of the bike while parked in the "Secured" parking garage, and just this last week someone decided to help themselves to our cable by unplugging our connection and plugging themselves in, down in the basement in the "locked and secured" door. Aparently someone drilled out the lock and helped themselves to the cable and all the management can say is, sorry or don't leave valuables in your car....seriously they stole her work id badge which was found a week later in the entry way of the apartment where it hadn't been before. Their so calle background crimminal checks obviously don't count for much when its your stuff that is getting taken! I wish I could move out early however the two month notice/plus early termination fee plus then you owe what ever special they gave you...which means it would cost us almost $2,000 to move out! So now I pay rent for a place I hardley stay at because I can't sleep there without constantly thinking something is going to get taken.

I know and completly agree. One tip- if you feel like your getting ripped off in any way take them to conciliation court right away. They will be summoned to court and may just settle. We actually did it and won a settlement. Watch the carpet and damage occuring in your place carefully as pebblebrook charges by the hour to replace anything they deem fit. They are usually the threatining party so by setting a date in conciliiation court (its like 25.00 and no lawyers) they will be forced to show up and actually defend there ripoff artist selves) before they have a chance to file anything against you(this is key as the party asking to go to court is usully right) remember any signoffs for carpet, painting etc. and have your own copies with dates and signed copies. Pictures work good too! take many! anyhow just saying conciliation court to them will make them say oh nooooo! not this agian.
