Just heard about this web and decided to put some good info out there. I live on the park side and it is always quiet and clean. The noise is from games at the ballpark but such is life in the city. Grounds are manicured weekly and hallways are nice. Office people are very quick to respond to questions I have...no matter how small. Maintenance fixed my dishwasher the next day. The indoor pool is often closed because kids have broken lights in the pool or the pool needs to be cleaned. Parental input would solve that problem.It is not a mainentance issue. Saw police twice (driving thru) in the summer. Try to find an apt complex without occasional car crime in 2007...good luck.I feel safe in the parking lot but I stay aware no matter where I am by myself.If you are lucky enough to get a spacious apt with a unique layout for this good price, take it. Yes, it is an older apt. and I think they should show some of the nicer apts when renting to people but we love it here. Bats' Yes, near the lake. Bugs, not in my apt building.
