An honest review

I moved out of the apartment building in October, 2005. I have read several reviews, and, since most just sound really angry, I thought I would write a very honest review without bashing any cultures or the mgmt, etc. I liked that it was close to the light rail, since I work downtown. This made commuting very convenient. Where I lived was not noisey and my neighbors were very friendly. I am sure I lucked out in this department, but bad neighbors are a risk you take moving into an apt. Whenever I had a problem, maintenance came the very same day and fixed it. I did see one mouse, which surprised me considering I lived on the 3rd floor. I quickly bought a cat. The "workout" room was weak, but some days it was better than going out in the cold and dark to my gym. Usually I was the only one in it. I was told during my first visit that the hallways would be recarpeted and cleaned up the following January, since they are dirty and stinky, but this never happened. In my opinion, the biggest downfall of living there was the security. It seemed that the side door was almost always broken and propped open. And considering that a girl was raped in my parking lot one month after I moved in, it was a concern. I also had some problems getting my rent back in a timely manner...my pet deposit was never recorded so it took a couple extra months and A LOT of phone calls to get that accomplished. Overall, I would not recommend the place because of its saftey issues and lack of upkeep.

Agreed. The place does sound appealing. On the whole this place does fall very short. What you pay for is not what you get. This place is very decieving. Thanks for your post.
