We've lived here for about 4 months. We haven't had problems with leaks as alot of you seem to have.. but we've have many problems with MICE as alot of you seem to have as well.. The maintenance guy told us himself that this building has alot of mice and that the pest control guy was trying to force all the mice into one corner of the complex.. Joy joy to the people who live in that corner!

The manager Maggie sure *seems* nice, that is until you have a real problem and she's more than willing to blow you off. She flat out lied to my roommate and said that they didn't have a pest or rodent problem here and that getting those things in your apartment is normal. But it seems to US that the whole building is infested. I've even read on these ratings that apartments here have been declared infested by the city.

The maintanence guy showed up drunk to our apartment to basically say that all of this water pouring into our bathroom from the ceiling was NOT an emergency. The water was pretty much non-stop, soaking 15 or so towels.

The electricity comes in & out. We want them to fix it but they don't think it's broken becuase it *eventually* works again.

We were definitely lured in.
They are really good at selling this place!
Too bad we couldn't get out of our lease any easier. We may try contacting a higher up district manager of this place. But who knows, he's probably like all of the rest of them.

We called a city inspector to inspect the storage unit that is completely run down and unsanitary. They pretty much laughed over the phone when hearing that we were calling from Village Green. They weren't hesitant at all to tell us that they get complaints about this place ALOT! And that the storage lockers we were complaining about was something the inspector had already known about. Good for VG, they seem to always use the "We're short staffed" excuse. I really don't think it should work to get them off of the hook with city inspectors that have to make repeat trips.

AND, they have the freakin nerve to send out notices saying to make sure you clean up after your pet outside..when they can't even clean the CRAP up inside the halls and storage units that has been there for MONTHS. NO WONDER WE HAVE RODENTS!

*Back to enjoying the sweet smell of dead mice in the walls and under the dishwasher.. and when I say sweet.. it's a rotten sweet weird smell that I'll never be able to forget. If you move in here you'll be able to enjoy it as well, I am sure.* AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt

it isnt village green, it is village park! and it is not a park. im a former resident and oh my god what a HORRIBLE place to live!

This place is terrible! I got something that no one else might not know about. Police reports! Yep, & am going to show them to the mngmt. & call the head honcho in Chicago, got her name & number & going to file a complaint!
