Great Value, Large Apartments, Great Management

I lived at Melrose Gates for over a year and a half, and it was the best apartment complex I've ever been in. When we were first looking for places to stay, we narrowed down our choices to Melrose Gates and another place near Lake Calhoun. The apartments were similar and the amenities comparable, but Melrose Gates was $500 less per month! It is really a wonderful value for the money. With the option to have a garage (much, much cheaper than paying for storage), and the indoor swimming pool, the full weight room, the saunas, the game tables, and the volleyball court, tennis court and putting green, we didn't have to pay to work out at a gym. The apartment was very spacious and well-maintained. We loved the roominess of the rooms (especially the living room and the main bedroom) and the balcony. Any maintenance issues were addressed immediately by management, which always went above and beyond the call of duty. When our freezer stopped working, we called in the request by 9:00 a.m. and had a brand-new freezer installed by noon, with a note from the maintenance guys saying they hoped they had put our food back the way it was. Any problems we had (which were very minimal) were addressed promptly by the staff. The staff was friendly and always talked with us. They went out of their way to have events for the residents in the courtyard, where there are outdoor grills and picnic tables. The area is very safe; there is camera surveillance throughout the parking lots and in the clubhouse. After a casual conversation with a guy who turned out to be a Brooklyn Center cop, he said that Melrose Gates is a very good complex. Management also has a policy that if someone is cited by the police, after 1 or 2 citations (I can't remember which), the tenant is given 30 days to evacuate or they are evicted. Management really doesn't want bad tenants; if you have a problem, voice your concern! That is the only way they can become aware of the problem and address it. We were so happy with the area that we just purchased a home within walking distance of the complex. It is a great area with easy access to freeways, biking trails, the Mississippi and downtown Minneapolis. You won't find another complex with as spacious of apartments or as many amenities anywhere else.

This is another phony report. Why would a person be looking at two apartments with a difference in price of over $500?! That is so stupid. Obviously, this user works for Melrose. Trust me, this place is not comparable to a luxury apartment near Lake Calhoun. Don't be fooled.

hmmmm... Regalbeagle, it's weird because in the previous post you were representing yourself as a member of the management staff. Now you are saying you lived here? Your story doesn't check out. Kind of like how Melrose Gate's promise of great amenities turned out to be a scummy pool and nasty living conditions. People are going to start figuring out that the only good posts on here are fake...
