I recently left Melrose Gates after living there for nearly 2 years. Thanks to the management staff and maintenance, my stay was very enjoyable. At the beginning of this winter our furnace didn't work. Within a half hour of our call, we had someone in there and our apartment being heated. Our central air went out this summer, and after calling in the problem at 9:00am, they had a specialist there and our air fixed before Noon. Out of the many apartments I have lived in, you can't beat service like that. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to say "hi," and help you with anything you needed. They really care about the tenants and the apartment complex. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, with everything you could ever look for, inside and out. There are also security cameras all around the complex, the entrance, and throughout the clubhouse. For the price, you won't find a more spacious, open apartment out there. The area is great, less than 10 minutes from downtown, with plenty of walking and biking trails nearby, and a large movie theater right across the street. We recently purchased a home in the area, and had we not, we still would be at Melrose Gates.

Whomever wrote this obviously works for Melrose Gates. This property is HORRIBLE! I suggest all of their tennants pick up a copy of "Tennants Rights" from their local housing agency. Read this publication and see who many policies Melrose Gates is in violation of. Their police calls policy is ILLEGAL. It is your right to call the police if you have problems and management can not hold that against you. Do not settle for less than standard living. This is not a place for a family to live. Management is more concerned with collecting rent than respecting the rights of their tennants. It says alot when the management staff dont live on site. The have no commitment to safety or sanitation of their tennants. As the tennants become more diverse the less management cares about the tennants. Management is rude and non responsive. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE POSTINGS FROM MANAGEMENT STAFF!!!!!

Tru2Life hit the nail on the head. This place is absolutely terrible. I have lived here for 2.5 years and have been unhappy for 2 years but have been unable to move bue to hectic work schedule and planning our wedding. Now that it is done, we are OUT OF HERE!

Just from reading this responses it is obvious that at Tru2Life must have issues with the law since we only contact residents regarding police calls when we are instructed to remove them from our property. There has never been a penalty for residents calling the police, nor a need. I am glad this resident moved out!
