I've lived in Ridgebrook for nearly two years, now. My neighbors started out being absolutely wonderful.. then they moved out. Now, to get to my apartment, I have to wait to get into my parking spot (everyone is told, quite specifically, not to park in numbered spots unless you pay for them), walk passed a crowd of kids (who have even exposed themselves to the parking lot! Just hanging out by the cars, not on the playground or an appropriate place to hang out), and up to my apartment. Oh, and not to mention the various smells - mostly weed - from the apartments across the hall. Oh, and when I can finally get to my home' I get to listen to my neighbor's stereo! I'm a full time student and I also work full time, so, trying to do my homework while my walls shake with THUMP THUMP BA-BUMP THUMP of their base. Did I mention that you're not supposed to complain until it's night time'
The management is very pro-active. They're not afraid to evict people (yay!) and, if you mention a problem, they look out for it. Naturally they can't accuse people of something unless there is proof. The office manager is a wonder - she's just the best. Never had a problem with the management.

Update!
Ridgebrook has been letting the worst sort of people in! I suspect one building of having it's very own drug dealer -- I see people walk up to the porch, exchange something, and walk back to their cars. For current residents, watch the 'middle' building when you come around the parking lot.
Also, their noise policy is crap. I'm a full-time worker and a full-time student. I was writing one of my final papers - at 8:00am on a Sunday! - when the noise from my neighbors above me got intolerable. Yeah, they blast their music (the bass!) at all hours. I hate feeling like the crabby neighbor, but.. I called. I was told that the policy is only enforced from 10pm-8am weekdays, and midnight-8am weekends.
I was then told to - and I quote - "Go to a library or something."
I spoke with my neighbors below me, and was told that they heard the music - from above me! - all the way down to their ground floor unit. Thus, you can imagine my disdain at the management's lack of response.
I pay my rent on time every month. I clean up after myself, and my animals. I'm a quiet and courteous resident. I'm all of these, and I'm moving the second my lease is up.
Oh, and there was a breed restriction when we originally moved in. Now I'm seeing pit bulls and other 'dangerous' animals wandering around. I guess it's just no enforced.

All of these comments are absolutely TRUE! I took photos of kids exposing themselves and gave them to management. I have had to call management 3 times on the stereo in one apartment. EACH TIME management responded quickly and the matter was resolved. My biggest complaint is the people in the 5820 building who use the entrance as their personal exit and the 5880 building who use the exit as an entrance. I have had several near misses backing out of spaces when looking the RIGHT way only to have a vehicle fly by the wrong way. It is a major hazard.
