I rented here b/c I have 2 dogs and it was hard to find a place that accepts 2 dogs BUT it is $50 PER dog PER month and all other apartments are only $25 per dog or less. Kids are constantly running down the halls shaking my apartment. My worst experience has been the office staff. I was less then 24 hours late on my rent ONLY 1 TIME MY ENTIRE LEASE and they treated me like I was a criminal. I have been a perfect tenant with no complaints and never any late or missed rent. They sent me 5 letters and told me they wouldn't accept any rent or checks from me until the $60 late feel was paid. I was late b/c my grandpa had died and I had to go out of town. LESS THAN 24 hours late!!! I told them that is why I am not renewing my lease and they basically said o.k. and did nothing to keep me. I am a great PAYING tenant (NOT on Section 8!!!!! and they don't want me I guess). This apartment is going way down hill b/c of the Section 8 people, it is disgusting how people can get free rent!!! I am looking for a nice, new, quiet apartment that does not accept section 8!!!!!

Sometimes people forget to take responsibiltiy - like this person. She was late with her rent, so pay the late fee and deal with it. I have a feeling it is not the people in Section 8 that make a place bad to live at, it's the people that don't take reponsibility for their actions, like this person.

I agree with dogpug. People on Section 8 are thoroughly screened before being allowed a voucher. If there is ANY criminal history, or drug addiction, or other problem, the applicant is rejected and cannot recieve a voucher. Apartment communities rent to Section 8 tenants because they usually make their rent payments on time, are mostly quiet, and don't bother others. Many Section 8 tenants also volunteer and help people in their communities.

dogpug was right..suck it up and pay the fee. it is part of life, and by the way-if you are on section 8, you don't get FREE rent!! It is based on INCOME!! know the facts before running off with the mouth!!
