I would never recommend Burningham Apartments to someone else. There is only one friendly person who works in the office- anyone else treats you like an inconvenience when you come in, and the phone is usually not answered. They have been very unresponsive with maintenance issues and follow-up. Everything is going downhill there...one elevator was out for at least a week before it was fixed. The buttons are broken or missing on most floors for the elevators. The pool was empty for weeks. The laundry machines are PERPETUALLY broken- some of the same ones have been out of service for months now. Someone broke into the storage areas recently and the management didn't even tell anyone- they just put the latches back on like nothing had happened. Now it seems the garages are being broken into, as they are changing everyone's opener codes because of "issues". I'm very disappointed with my experience renting, and would not recommend Burningham to anyone who values their belongings and safety.

I think some of the things are wrong. They did post the building and elevators about the rash of breakins. Storage rooms and garages and they tried to fix and secure everyone belongings quickly. I give them a A for effort as least.Burnsville police also sent warnings out and those were posted as well. The staff made sure to change garage codes to secure the building. I have seen the elevator company out alot! Since they are there so much, i would figure they are working to fix it. The one broken button is fixed. I use the pool everyday and was upset when it was down. They told me they replaced the drain and the next day it was taken off again by someone. It required a whole to drain to be installed and cemented in for safety issues. I do not think that is there fault. They painted the pool and the room and if some of the residents would have a little respect for their homes I do not think we would have all of these problems. Maintenance can be a problem. They are not good sometimes with followup or it takes three times to fix it but they do try. I think all the staff is ok. Mary is a little old but I like her. I think they try very hard to do a good job. Could do much better on laundry machines. Is Burningham the best, no it is the worst, no I have seen worse. Is improvment needed, yes but I have also seen changes for the good. My lease runs till February, I will wait to make judgment then, if things continue to improve I would consider staying. Rent not high lot for the money in my opionion.

I agree that this place is going downhill fast. The elevators are rarely working properly; one of the biggest problems being that they don't go to the correct floor, they usually go to the first floor no matter what button you push. Theft in the storage areas is common also. I've lost a lot of money trying laundry machines that don't work. And rent is getting out of control; they said my rent would go up $80/month if I renewed my lease. I will not be staying when my lease is up.
