I would never recommend this place to anyone. It took me awhile to write this because I knew I had to tell the whole story. I moved in here Dec of 07 and had issues from the start. The carpets were not shampooed, even though they claimed they were. There were numerous stains on the carpet, the master bathroom shower didn't work, the tile was peeling up in the kitchen, the cupboards were falling apart and leaving wood shavings in my dishes. I asked for the 4th light cover to be brought and it never came. I was also one of the poor souls who had to suffer because some idiot decided to throw their cigarette down the trash shute. I was stuck in my car (because the firetrucks blocked the only way out) from 2 am till almost 5 am with a 6 month old child. To make matters worse, it started the electrical outlets in my apartment on fire. We are lucky the firedept came or within a minute or we would have lost everything. There was water dripping down our walls and electric crackles. We had to be without power in half of our apartment till the next afternoon. The maintainence guys who came are always nice but there way of "fixing" the electrical was to just cut the wires and cut off the access to a couple outlets in my living room..geez that was convenient. On top of that, they left the black burnt marks from the flames. I thought that was classy. There were so many times where the fire alarm was going off, the police were harassing the neighbors, people were getting beaten up, and people's cars were broken into constantly. If you plan to do laundry here, good luck. Either no heat in the dryer, your coins are jammed, or they are just out of order, unless you want to leave your laundry on another floor. I don't recommend that either since there are laundry thieves.
Moving in and out was also a joke. The elevators never worked, and I moved on the 4th floor of course. The worst was everyday when I was carrying a little baby and I had to walk down the stairs because dummies broke the elevator, or pulled the stop button. There are always kids running through the halls, screaming at all times of the night, fighting, yelling, breaking the elevators and punching holes through the ceiling panels. They would shatter the mirriors too and someone always urinated in the entry way and stairway. It was so disgusting. Drunk people stumbling down the halls, knocking on random doors. Wierd guys that approach you in the halls and wanna hook up or sell something to you. This is not the place for kids either.
Maybe some people had a better experience than I did. I lived in the 1513 building but I had a friend who lived in the office building and never had any issues. I did meet a couple of nice people, but most of the time I was scared to park in the garage and even go out to my car in the dark. 6 cars around mine were broken into one night, that's crazy. This is just my story, I have nothing to lose by telling it. Don't move here, you really don't need this hassle. Seriously, this place is terrible.

I live in the office building, and haven't had many problems... yea, sometimes the elevators are broken, sometimes stupid people pull the stop button, or prop the security door open, but overall, we live relatively undisturbed. Though, we had a wave of car break ins on our garage as well, but I haven't heard of anything since then. Sorry you had such a terrible experience :(
