I was quite surprised to see some of the negative reviews about this apartment. I've lived here for close to a year and have not had really any of these problems. 1. About the garage if you were late because of that you were probably going to be late anyways. You can disconnect the garage door so it can be manually lifted up. On top of that I've not yet found a problem with the garage door. It's very good for security purposes because you open it with an id card so it tracks who's been in at what times.
2. The people in the office have stayed the same so when you say managers, maybe it's property managers for maintenance issues because there has been a couple of them. Never had a problem with my apartment so I haven't had to use them.
3. About the specials I got 1350 prorated off my rent and a 600 move in special plus I signed a friend up and got 500 for that. That's a total savings of 2,450!
4. The hallways seem to be just fine. Same size if not larger than previous apartments that I lived in. Never smelt hot dogs maybe it was their own breath they were smelling.
5. The exercise room has been empty or almost empty when I've been in there. About the smell that seemed pretty typical. What fitness room smells like roses' Another thing there is purified water and two tv's with DVD players too.
6. The chlorine content can vary in the pool. It has been high at times but never to the point where it "eats my skin alive". One complaint I do have it was shut down numerous amount of times for cleaning because of high iron content. That's understandable to me though. I would also agree that it's not a big deal in the winter because there is changing rooms and showers so just bundle up after you rinse and dry off. The pool facility is very nice with a huge hot tub.
7. About the bathrooms they are HUGE. I don't know what this person is smoking.
8. Never had a problem with the carpet itching my feet and the Berber carpet is very easy to clean. About the kitchen it's pretty basic in regards to styling but it does have multi-speckled paint that compliments it very well. The appliances are all new since it's a new building. Doesn't look like the Brady bunch kitchen to me.
9. It is a little noisy on the powers blvd side at night but has never woken me up. If that's the case close the windows and kick on the A/C.
10. First time I ever heard of any break ins was reading these reviews.
11. I'll have to look into the mortgage credit more but that seemed pretty easy to obtain.
12. They are building a new building but that is away from the existing building so It's not getting dirtier.
13. I will agree about the water it tastes a little chloriney but I put a water filter on the faucet so that took care of that. I don't have color treated hair so I don't know what it would do to my hair in regards to previous review.

Here is my own complaints:
1. Water is bad but that's because of the area. Use a faucet mount purifier or buy bottled water.
2. No trash chutes but there are garbage bins at the bottom of every stairway.

Here are some very positive things that weren't mentioned:
1. High speed internet is included in rent.
2. Party rooms is free
3. Fully furnished guest suite is only $40/night
4. The highest my heating bill reached over winter was $18
5. Free cable TV
6. 1 free underground parking spot. Additional spots are only $50
7. Rent to buy program
8. $500 rent credit if you help sign someone to a lease.
9. Business center with copier/fax machine and 2 computers for your use.

That's all off the top of my head but I would still recommend this place.
