Read your lease carefully! Marathon Management requires 60 days notice for move outs & will not allow you to move out during the months of December, January, or February. They do not have a buy/build clause in their leases either, so if you buy or build a house, you're out of luck.

They DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU! They will not listen to what you have to say, just simply tell you that there is nothing you can do, you signed the lease.

Parking is attrocious! They have several garages for rent that are usually occupied. Their rules state that if you rent a garage, you must park your car inside of it, but they DO NOT enforce this rule! As a result, several tenants have multiple vehicles (broken down ones parked in the garage, working ones taking up parking slots) or their garage is full of junk they are storing, so their car will not fit inside. The managers (husband & wife/no kids) for this complex have 3 vehicles and only one gets parked inside the garage. Here's the best part! The manager would cover up the handicap parking sign with a garbage bag and park there!!! That lasted a few weeks, then I think the cops got called. I'd love to see how much that fine cost!

There is mold in my apartment. My microwave does not work like it should (can't see the display). The smoke detector goes off when you turn the oven on (definitely no smoke, just heat).

Took them 2 weeks to "fix" my broken air conditioner this summer.

I could keep going, but I would hope that you get the idea.

I moved here because the rent was cheap and the place didn't look terrible. My suggestion to you would be to spend a little more money and go to just about any other apartment complex in town or the area.

Stay away from Cedar Creek Apartments and anything managed by Marathon Management!
