I have lived here at North Meadows for about 2 years now and have not had any problems like any of you have mentioned. I have found the entire staff goes above and beyond their duties. I really like how most of you have fabricated your own story to have something to complain about. For example, the staff does not allow smoking or children running in the hallways, but they cannot police unfit and unresponsible parents. What should they do call child protection' Maybe if the parents that lived here acutally took care of their own kids, the staff would not have to. Another thing, I myself had an issue with the windows, but unlike you, I actually reported it to the staff and they fixed the problem asap. The person who wrote about the cat getting stuck, I heard about that and the maintanence guy came and got the cat and fixed the cabinet..all for no charge..good attempt at a bad story though...If you need to talk to the manager she is always there, but you acutally do have to pick up the phone and call...To the person who wrote about car damage, you cannot be very intelligent. If I saw kids running from a crime scene, I would call 911, NOT NM MANAGEMENT!!! What can they do' You act as if they could whip out their badges and have guns blazing and say freeze....get a clue!! To the people that are complaining about move out charges, you get a move out checklist that explains everything you need to do to get your full deposit back, if you cannot read it that really a problem of the staff' I am glad that I found this website because it is always seems to be the good residents like myself that pay rent on time and does not have any loud parties or police calls are happy with the community and the people who are irrepsonsible and cannot pay rent always have a issue about something to try and take the attention off of what they really should be doing....Like I said before North Meadows is a great place to live and I will not leave until the day comes to purchase a home...

I left a response only because in your rating you called me a liar. I find that very naive and childish that you choose to call someone a liar when you know nothing about them or their experiences. The statement about you being either management or good friends with them is because I haven't heard a good review from anyone other than those that know management or work part time for them. And that is an honest statement. I believe that the truth should come out and people should be able to see how well or poorly an apartment is run and maintained. The only complaint I have about smokers is that they would illegally smoke in the garage. If you should choose to actually do your homework, you will find numerous Minnesota statutes about smoking indoors which is what the garage is considered if you didn't know that. Whether or not I smoke or you smoke is not the issue. It's those that smoke in the garage near the vehicles and decrease the value of them by the pollutants wafting into the interior of the vehicle. As mentioned before, the place is yours. You can go on ahead and leave a response again and make yourself and management happy that you stand by your right to defend what you consider to be the luxury living they promote. I stand by my right to call the place crap and defend myself and the many others that agree with me. We're not insane as your title claims us to be. We're the majority.

My roommate is actually the one who wrote the review and mentioned our cat getting stuck. I was there and NO maintenance did NOT come. When I moved out, I had to fix the cabinet myself. I called a left a message for the staff and they didn't return my call (to no surprise). If this person still lives in the apartment, how do they know about the move out check list? I wouldn't call me a liar before you know the full story. Or maybe since you're management, you think you know the full story. We have NEVER paid rent late. We actually won a couple of gift certificates before that YOU in management handed out for paying rent early. I don't know how you can call me a liar or those that left the other reviews considering that you yourself lied and answered no to the question of if you are an employee of this apartment or not. If you are not management, I am at least an adult enough to admit that I'm wrong and that I'm sorry. I am only saying that I myself have experienced a lot of what has gone wrong and what others have written poor reviews on. "Good attempt on a poor story." If you are indeed a tenant, the place is all yours. We said good-bye and good riddance a few months ago. My only wish is that I never gave this hell hole my hard earned money in the first place. Say hi to the manager (if you're not her) maybe you two can enjoy your smoke breaks together.

Wow, you clearly must be "in with the management". I like how at the end of your review you note that it's those who pay rent on time and don't have parties who leave the good reviews. Well, I was NEVER, NEVER, NEVER late on a payment and NEVER had parties. The place stinks, enough said. People smoking, which takes away my right to fresh air. I don't have kids, so you can't lay the "bad parent" stuff on me. Maybe protective services should be called to teach bad parents a lesson. I don't live there anymore and am greatful for it. I fixed my own cat stuck in the cabinet thing, no one came to get him out "without charge". Hmmm, it must happen more often than not then.

The only reason why I know about the move out checklist is because I did give notice to move out, and they my house deal fell through. I do not know what your experience was, but I got a checklist within 48 hours of my written notice. I am sorry that your experience was so terrible, however, my is not. In my response I did not say that you are a bad parent or even a parent at all. The residents can call child services, but good luck calling about a child running in the halls, they will say that is what kids do. You are very childish to say hi to the manager and enjoy a smoke break, being that I do not smoke, but I choose not to complain about it!! Other people can smoke if they want to and that is just none of my business. I am not in with the management, but the entire staff has gone above and beyond for me. Once again my experience has been way different from yours...If you are so happy that you moved out, why do you have to keep complaining about something in the past?
