Do not even consider living here

My boyfriend and myself lived there for about a year until the lease was up, which thank god it was. There were little kids running around screaming all the time and the hallways smelled terrible constantly. False fire alarms went off around once a month. My boyfriend's truck got broken into in the underground parking and had about $500 worth of softball equipment stolen but they didnt have a camera where he was parked... During the last 3 months of living there, there was about 3 or 4 break-ins in the parking lot into vehicles and there was even an incident when someone got gas ciphened out of their vehicle, which was parked right in front by the office. I even talked to the maintenance guy that works there and he had his tires slashed in the underground parking but they caught the guy fortunately. Also, we had an ant problem in the summer and it was absolutely horrible--they were everywhere and would get into all the food, it was disgusting. To sum it up, this place is a dump and it isnt even cheap. Do not live here. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

I have been living at Woodland North for more than ten years and have not had any issues. Crime is crime and it's going to happen no matter where you live. It's too bad people like you have to blame the property for criminal's behavior. I know that we were told to not give our code to anyone and to wait for the garage door to close before we went to our garage stall. Still after 10 years do you know how many people I've seen just go through and not wait? That is just asking for trouble. How are they supposed to monitor that?
As far as the kids running in the halls...I have a child that was 7 when we moved here. It was MY responsibility to know where my child was and what she was doing, not the office's job. I know we have all gotten notices NUMEROUS times regarding the kids. What else do you want them to do? Do you want them to babysit?
Fire alarms? Are you kidding?! Once a month? Is that all you had to deal with? I would much rather deal with a false alarm once a month than to have a real fire. I'm just thankful to know that the alarms work. I have spoken with the fire department regarding the alarms and there are many reasons why an alarm could go off. Not just the kids pulling it! Maybe, you don't have any kids and are not a kid friendly person. Woodland North is a great place for families and if you couldn't handle that then you should've gone to an adult building or bought a house. Kids are kids and they will try to get away with alot, but that doesn't mean that they succeed.
When this car parked in front of the office had gas stolen out of it, was it when the office was open? Probably not, so what would you expect them to do?
Did you let the office know about your ant problem? I have had ants and I let them know right away and they got the exterminator out, with no problems.
The halls smell bad? Really? Was there someone cooking food that you didn't like? I have never smelled anything bad in the halls (and I walk them everyday) except for food that is different or I don't like.
The rent is very good for the amenities that we have, and my apartment is larger than most of my family's houses and you calling my home a dump offends me, very much. If this place was the dump you portray it to be, then I would not be living here! I would definately refer a friend to live here and have met people that have lived here and come back. I even knew an elderly couple that spent their summers here. It can't be too bad if people keep coming back.

To the person that responded, it sounds like you are management. No one should have to tolerate crime no matter where they live nor should they fear for their property. The ammenities stink, the work out room is usally in dissaray, inoperable machines, a stench in the hallways, garbage strewn throughout the building not to mention the comotion throughout the property day and night. Pull your head out of the sand. If you have lived here ten years you are livid.
