This building was rehabbed about 10 years ago with hopes that this part of East Downtown would improve along with it. When the building was renovated - it was perfect for someone single and young who wanted to be downtown. In the past two years this part of downtown has turned into the city's worst intersection for policec calls (1st Ave E & E 1st St). Constant panhandling at night, drug deals outside and inside, prostitution going on right behind the building in the parking lot at night - after a stabbing down the block I had to get out of here.

It's a shame that this building which had been restored so well lost to the criminal element which has significantly changed downtown.
