I am a current tenant of Bayberry Place and look forward to moving. The apartment itself is very nice. My one bedroom is spacious and I LOVE the kitchen. Not all the apartments have balconys however, which is odd. The price is not terrible, but it keeps going up and really compared to what else is up there is not a great value. The issue is with the management. When we first rented, we had this great manager names Geri. She was very friendly and prompt, no surprises. She was always glad to be avaiable as this was her job. She was very selective as to who could rent here. Typically this area attracts the "college crowd" and she made certain a lot of young partiers were not allowed. Things were quiet and there were no break ins at the parking lot in your car or garage. She threw summer bar b ques for the residents to all get to know eachother and at her bar b ques she had booths set up from local businesses offering special deals for Bayberry renters. Well that all changed. I guess the upper managment decided she did such a great job turing this place around that she should go to another of there properties to do the same. 4 or 5 (We lost count) managers later, we are stuck with a twenty something year old twit. She dresses VERY unprofessionally for her position, which what can you expect from someone so inexperienced. I know Renter's Rights law states managment must give you a 24 hour notice for any scheduled non emergency mantinence in your apartment. She likes to hand out her letters at around 10PM letting you know someone will be over in the morning to do... scheduled non emergency mantinence. Like put a nice new door number on your front apartment door, or a "yearly" inspection she decided to start this year. SURPRISE! you get an invasion of privacy! If you ask her for assistance, she is very rude and my husband and I have always been left with feeling like we were a burden of her time. She even sent out a newsletter reprimanding tenents for using the emergency pager for "non emergency" items. A simple phone call back and explaining to the caller that this is not classified as an emergency however the item would be logged and followed up on during business hours would be much more professional and courteous. She has allowed anyone looking to rent it seems. Now the peace and quiet is gone and I hear parties going all weekend long. My car was broken into when it was parked right in from of the building! Garages keep getting broken into also. Perhaps the upper management will take notice to all the vacant apartments now since she has taken over. Mine will be next... We have had it with this place and we are moving on! Good luck if you decide to rent here... not recommended for families or mature adult couples looking for a nice, quite place to call home!

I completly agree with you regarding management. We had to pay an outrageous security deposit despite years of credit history and several years of renters history. I feel like I'm bothering her when I need anything, and I rarely need anything at that. The tenants above me moved in after me and must make a living pounding stuff all day because all you hear throughout the day is hammering. The all-night crack guys across the hall moved out though, so there's one bad tenant down. It's not nearly as bad as my previous apartment but bayberry has it's negatives. Street noise is definitely one of them
