but I really like it here. I moved in in August and have had nothing but great experiences. Management has been extremely pleasant, responsive and helpful. We had a leaky faucet when we moved in and it was replaced immediately. The apartment was clean and in good shape when we moved in.
The apartment is quiet. There's the usual noise of people walking around in hallways and upstairs, but the actual noise level is great. A baby lives in the apartment next door and I've never heard it crying from inside my unit, only from the hallway.
The garage is fantastic and well managed. Recently, someone parked in my assigned space and when I called management to alert them, they already knew and had the license info taken down and took care of it very quickly.
I've lived in several apartment buildings and in comparison, Woodridge is great. I mean, let's face it. It's apartment living. It's not like you can expect to come home to walls made of diamonds and rest on a velvet pillow in total silence while management caters to your every desire. The things that are important: cleanliness, safety, amenities, follow-through, good management and value for your buck...I get them to my satisfaction at Woodridge.
The only downsides I have are that the kitchen cupboards are pretty fugly (I hate that off-white plasticy look. bleh) and that sometimes the hallways and stairwells get a bit stinky from animals. They're pretty good about cleaning frequently, though. But those things are pretty inconsequential for me in the scheme of things.
The walls, carpets and fixtures are all fine enough. Pretty standard cookie-cutter big box apartment fare. You're not going to walk into these apartments and marvel at their great beauty or anything...but they're fine enough for me. I do LOVE the layout, though. We have a 2BR split. It's amazing.
(and for all you naysayers, no- I'm not someone in management. I just think it's good to praise when praise is due on these kinds of websites. I looked here when I was looking for a new apartment and I definitely appreciated seeing both kinds of experiences)

You must live right next door to the office. Or have a hearing problem. Or lived in really terrible communities before this. More power to you if it's working for you. You are definately a lucky minority.
