I first lived in Fountain Place about 10 yrs ago. It was very nice back then. I moved back to Fountain Place about 4 years ago and moved out 6 months ago. Huge difference. The complex has gone way down hill. They still had the same work out equipment from 10 years ago. Nothing worked and the tv was yanked from the wall. However, they did just remodel the fitness room. It is very nice now. They also charge something like $200 to rent the club house, non-refundable. I will never live in a building that takes dogs. I love dogs but people who live in an apartment with a dog are slobs and have no respect for anyone else. Especially people with large dogs. I complained relentlessly about the feces in the hall and stair wells. People would let their dogs crap and pee in the hallways, stairwells and elevator and leave it for days! I was embarrassed to let any of my friend come in. The residents used the hallway to store their garbage because they were too lazy to walk 20 feet to the trash shoot. They would even leave all their shoes out. Watch where you walk when you're outside. You don't even want to go near the grass. No one picks up after their dog especially in the winter. Don't leave anything valuable in your car, it will get stolen. My car window was smashed in, luckily I didn't have anything of value and my insurance paid for the window. Other's were not so lucky. Watch out for the smokers too. There were 2 close calls due to smokers falling asleep with a cigarette. They also tend to flick their lit cigarettes off the balcony. Good things....The apartments was very quiet, rarely heard any of my neighbors unless they were screaming in the hallway. The location is excellent. I loved the walking paths. I do miss those features. The non dog-buildings may be much better.
