I lived at PACW for over 2 years in two different apartments. When I first moved in, the mgmt. staff was polite and courteous, and I even knew their names. When the new staff came in, I never saw the same person twice in the office, and rarely got through to anyone on the phone.
As far as the noise, cleanliness, etc., this also went downhill fast. The maintenance staff was always visible, cleaning the sidewalks, vacuuming, and were a nice group of people. I never saw ONE maint. person after the new mgmt. took over. Trash would lay on the yard for days (thrown from apartments, no less).
The signs say LUXURY LIVING up and down Shady Oak Road, but don't fall for it. There is nothing luxurious about PACW. I can't even count the number of times I saw police cars in the parking lot in the last 6 months. Break-ins in the garages were a problem, security doors often didn't work.
The pool area would be very nice if it were cleaned properly. Leaves, bugs, etc. often littered the pool.
The area is beautiful and there are lots of nice features such as parks, shopping, restaurants, but PACW does not do it justice. Keep looking!
