Rent increase after rent increase

After 3 years my rent has increased nearly $200. Do not believe management when they tell you the heat is not that expensive. My heating bill during the winter was always $80-$100. There is only 1 gas meter for the whole building, so regardless of how much gas YOU use, you still will have a high bill.
The building itself is great, if you can afford it.

Rents have gone up in recent years but only because rents were way too low in comparison to other apartments in the area and because management has been spending a lot of money on upgrades and improvements to the apartments, the apartment buildings, as well as the landscaping, clubhouse, and essentially all areas of the property. I love it here and plan to stay for a long time. Keep up the good work!!!

I live at Park @ City West and I love it here. What I don't understand is why people think inflation really isn't happening. Of course your rent went up..hello! Have you noticed gas prices lately. Stop whinning..

It's alright here but I agree about the high gas bills. Why is it that the bills are higher now when it's warm outside...winter gas bills were not bad at all but all of a sudden in May, the bills are over $100 and we have no gas appliances...what's up?

I just moved back here after being gone several years and am amazed at how much work they are doing to the grounds and buildings. The dump I was at before cost more, had less amenities and the staff told me that they aren't babysitters and are tired of taking care of babies and my truck got broken into twice before they actually did anything about it. You want to whine about the Park, move to Lake Place. Then you will have something to whine about, especially on prices, loud noises and getting bit by all the spiders that have invaded. I love it here and I'm not moving again.
EDITED: Ok, I've been here for over a year now and still love it, yeah, there are some issues, but every place has issues. Nothing like the place that I was at before. Except for one person on the maintenance staff, I'm satisfied. They fixed the gas prices and hopefully will be getting rid of that crappy AUM that is ripping us off. $3.50 for them to take care of our bill? $7 for a late fee when they keep changing the due date. I'm sick of AUM ripping us off and I heard the staff is looking into adding it to our rent, which I would be more than happy with. Maintenance request are a little slow and the pool person fails to do his job under State Regulations, like getting into the pool every single day to ensure that the drain covers are tight.
