I made a deal with a leasing agent on a Saturday, signed an agreement and a Lease, and was told on a Monday that the Property Manager would not honor the terms. These people are ruthless (and some clueless).
Beyond the cold and heartless management, the walls are paper thin (BOOM, BOOM, BOOM goes the bass from apartments that are two doors down and on a different floor!!), the elevator in the building I lived in broke down at least once every other month (and the compressor in the elevator room on the 3rd floor made enough noise to wake you), and the garages are dank and disgusting (CO2 alarm goes off on a weekly basis and the fan that is supposed to automatically go on to vent it, does not- we would have to open the garage door and then put a cup over the sensor so it would stay open). These buildings are falling apart, and the management chooses to put band aids on things while investing a little on some fresh mulch, a coat of paint, and new signage (you can't paint a turd). They turned our building into a dog building without notice (not sure if this was legal, the lease is about 30 pages long, small print- so it probably was in the fine print somewhere)- people do a good job of picking up after their dogs, then they dump the waste into the trash can in the elevator entry area near the garage- smells just great!!!
You can count on a police car being called to the apartments on a fairly consistent basis (I think the posting about tough application standards was written as a cover by the management)
The place is perfect for a twenty-something that likes to party, throw their dogs poo in the community trash next to the soda machine, and is too drunk at night to be awakened by the noise.
Maintenance staff is great.

I agree with the above post. I am currently living in the complex and its quite difficult at times. I pay enormous heat bill every month. Even during summer I pay hear bill that are huge. When I complain the management tells me, it is divided among the residents. So, whether you use it or not, you still land up paying $60-$80/ month and does goes to $120/ month during winters. The furnace in the apartments are very noisy. The property charges for heat, water, sewage, cold water, hot water and even administration charge. I sometimes feels betrayed. Also, i just learnt that many apartments does not need to pay heat and are included in their rent cost. So, guess... more they use... nothing they pay,,, but other residents land up paying the extra cost.
