When we first moved into our apartment at Parkway two years ago, we were impressed with the friendly staff and the nice apartments. The price seemed good and they allowed large dogs (something we were struggling to find) Our first year here proved to be pretty enjoyable and we resigned another year lease. Over the course of the second year we started to notice changes in many things in our building. Our vehicle was vandilized (someone tried to steal it) inside of our LOCKED garage. When we reported it, managment told us not to have valuables inside of our vehicle to try to prevent things like that happening again. The building rarely is clean--almost every weekend there is dog poop on the carpet that will sit there for days until maintanence cleans it up. Common doors that lead into the building and that are inside of the building are constantly broken and the residents do not get along. Nasty notes are taped to the common doors and on different residents' doors from other residents. Small children play in the garage and are crawling over people's vehicles and they yell obscene things at you from their decks when you are outside with your pet. When it came time to renew our lease, the new managment offered us no incentive to stay. When we inquired about moving into a smaller apartment they said that there were not any available, but if we wanted to, we could be put on a wait list. We would have to resign with our current apartment and when a smaller apartment opened up, we would have to pay a fee for breaking our current lease, reapply for the smaller apartment, put another deposit down for the new apartment and requalify to live here. We felt like they did not vaule us as residents and could care less if we stayed here or left. The new managment is not friendly and do not treat you with respect. They act as though we should be feeling grateful that they are allowing us to live here. I WOULD NOT recommend living at Parkway apartments.

So so true! This place has gone down hill so bad! Every other weekend the security door is broken in. The door to the garage is broke just as soon as it is fixed. Trash is always in the hallways, entry ways, and elevators. They allow large dogs so that means LARGE amounts of dog crap all over the lawns, walkways, garage, hallways. They have a cleaning crew who can usually be found dancing down the hallways or in the stairwells walking right past trash, spider webs, you name it. DON'T LIVE HERE. You can find better care and people living in cardboard boxes in alleyway in new york. I moved and would never recommend this place.

Had a bunch of stuff stole from my storage locker. Real great that they care to leave a 1' hole at the top of each locker for hoodlums to crawl around in your personal belongings and steal!

Sounds about right. We had a really bad experience there, too. Some similarities included the theft, lack of management response deal with problems (like thefts). The security doors were CONSTANTLY not working. One or two people would sign the lease and then have their entire 10-person family stay there, so they didn't have security keys to get into the building. The non-residents (who were living there) would break the glass in the door about once a week. We didn't have poop from the dogs in the common areas, but did have the experience of finding human pee on various floors of the building, generally around the elevator. What kind of animal do you have to be to pee on the floor in your own apartment?!! We were also assaulted on two occasions. When we moved in there was a nice mix of residents and by the time we left it had been overrun by people not on the lease who were about the unfriendliest types imaginable who refused to follow the rules of decency. Also, when we moved out, they attempted to charge us over $3,000 for alleged damages. We had filled out a form upon moving in, and had taken pictures, of extensive damage to the apartment including severely stained carpets, chips and holes in the walls. The damage they claimed we had caused was the damage that was present when we moved in. We left that place in great condition, it was as clean as it could possibly be, we steam cleaned, cleaned the oven, behind the fridge, wiped down the walls, etc. My favorite thing that happened recently was that after I wrote a review on this site, the management had the balls to ask me if I knew where I lived. She actually responded to my post by saying how wonderful the place was and that I needed "Double check your address and make sure you realize where you are living." I lived in EP for 40 years, I feel very confident I knew where I was living. When management gives you a chance to win gift certificates for writing a good review, be wary. You have to ask yourself, why would they need to bribe people? Of course, management would tell you it's not a bribe, it's just a fun incentive!!!
