We moved here when the management was Hornung companies and it was safe, clean, and nice. Since the new company took over, we have had many problems. They are now letting just about anyone live here (including parents who do not supervise their small children and kids that are right out of High School that have been complained about and the management does nothing about setting consequences). Management actually told us it was our responsibility to call the police to have something be done about this. Our upstairs neighbors are young kids who repeatedly light fireworks off of the balcony above us. It is in our lease that fireworks are not allowed on the property. Also they claim to have a referral program in place, but when we referred two residents here, they would not compensate us and claimed that the people we referred to Shadow Green didn't know who we were. We have had a leaky bath tub faucet and have tried to get it fixed but with no luck, it remains broken to this day.
As far as security goes, there is a complete lack of security. The police are called to the property every night. The security doors can be opened with almost any key you try, and when you buzz someone in your floor, the doors for every floor are open. They claim on a sign that there are security cameras in the parking lots, which there are not, and the lights in the parking areas never work. We would not recommend moving here to anyone and feel bad that we told our friends about this apartment. Although it is affordable, there is a reason why the rent is so cheap. There are far better apartments very close to this location.
