We have lived at Mallard Creek for about a year now. We would be staying here if we were not moving out of state. We live on the third floor and never have a problem with noise. We can occasionally hear our neighbor's tv on, but only if we have absolutely nothing making any noise in our own apartment. The only real problem with noise that we have encountered is people standing out on their balconies, talking loudly late at night. But even that has only happened a handful of times during the summer and only on a Friday or Saturday night. We live in a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom apartment and it is very spacious. They had just remodeled our apartment before we moved in and everything looks very nice. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is great, too.

There are only a few things that I would like to see change. 1) The front parking lot gets full all the time and it's kind of a pain to have to park in the back. 2)When people are smoking outside, it wafts into our apartment and then our place smells like cigarettes. I would like to see smoking not allowed here. 3)Under the old landlord, I would have to call 3 times before something would actually get fixed or changed, but I cannot say the same for the new landlord. We haven't needed anything fixed lately, so I haven't had a reason to interact with the new landlord yet. Also, for some reason, our names are no longer in the front directory, so people have to call us when they get here and we have to go down to get them vs just buzzing them in. The last thing I would like to see changed' The doors into the apartment buildings are not very sturdy. With a good tug, you can get them open. Plus....the garage has been broken into (before we lived here) and the doors from the garage to the apartment buildings seem backwards. If you're in the garage, you don't need a key to get into the apartment building. But if you're in the apartment building, you need a key to get into the garage. That makes me nervous because if the garage gets broken into, the intruders can simply walk into the buildings.

Okay. I've gotten my small complaints out of the way. I really have had no problems living here....with noise or other residents. And the problems I've had with parking and the old landlord are very minimal. If I had a friend looking for an apartment in Golden Valley, I would recommend Mallard Creek to them.
