Why you should NOT choose Chasewood Gates:
1) I can hear every single step the people above me make. I can tell you if they're home and which room they're in at any time.
2) There's constantly smoke coming in from my neighbor's apartment, and no one seems to obey the "no smoking in public areas" signs.
3) Utilities are ALL paid by renters. It really adds up.
4) Maintenance requests are not handled very quickly. I'm guessing it's an office problem, not a maintenance personnel issue. The groundskeepers are the rare pleasant side to the Chasewood Gates staff.
5) The office employees have been rude, deceitful, disrespectful and condescending to me. They make policies unclear or completely unavailable and slap residents with miscellaneous charges and threats. The poor management is the main reason I will be moving out of this place when my lease is up.
6) Although this is Minnetonka, my visitors and I do not feel at all safe going to the workout center or even the parking lot after dark because the grounds are so poorly lit.
There are plenty of reasons not to live here. It is an unpleasant environment, so don't be fooled by the fresh paint and new carpeting. Go elsewhere. I wish I had.
