I have lived in Chasewood Gates apartment villas for around 4 years now and have been very happy with the quality of living. We toured the apartments before we signed a lease so we knew that they were a little older and not up-to-date luxury living, but overall the apartment was clean and in perfect working condition when we moved in October of 2004. The one bedroom layout is more space than I have seen in many other apartments and is at a competitive price to other apartments in the area. You then have to take the ammenities into consideration as well. We have a work out facility, pool, party room, office area complete with free internet access and printing, well maintained tennis courts, and picnic areas with charcoal grills. The apartments are set into a beautiful wetland area(which they give reading material on upon moving in, telling about how to control mold, etc.), and the grounds are complete with trees and wildlife,I have had deer walking through my back yard many times, along w/ many varieties of birds such as blue jays, cardinals, finch's etc., and many other animals. It's amazing to be able to watch! The staff has always been courteous and fully accomodating and maintenance is at our apartment w/in a day fix any problems. They have a full service website that you can submit your service requests to so that it is immediately viewed and addressed. Of course you can hear your neighbors, it's an apartment complex for gosh sakes! When this apartment complex was built it wasn't about maintaining noise control, but getting the building up and rented out. I've heard much worse in my friends apartments eslewhere. I honestly don't think it's as horrible as some of the previous reviews. Overall, yeah, we've had problems with the apartment because of it's age and the heating bill is a bit high, but it's been a great place to live for what we get.
