It seems like most people that write reviews are dissatisfied and simply rant about their bad experiences. You don't usually find many satisfied or content customers write many reviews and are actually useful for others. It is my goal to make this a useful, constructive review that will hopefully help people with their decision.
Parking:
The parking lot is off street and there is plenty of space. It is located next to a nice creek with plenty of trees and there is no competition from other buildings over the parking spots. The building also has a pretty nice, heated garage, which is on the ground level. There is insulation everywhere so it looks a little dirty, and the lighting could be better, but in general it is worth the $30 extra you pay for it since it's safer for you and your vehicle than parking outside, especially in the winter time.
Noise:
The noise is minimal since the building was made from cement in the 1980s. The walls are pretty thick and the tenants are mostly quiet. During my stay it was mostly quiet and peaceful.
Grounds:
The apartment building has a laundry room with 5 washers and dryers for the entire building, which is sufficient most of the time, but not enough on the weekend by any means. Sometimes some of the units would break down for weeks and not be fixed or replaced for a while, which was surprising because their maintenance usually was pretty good.
The apartment is very clean despite what the other review said. It's cleaned daily or every other day from top to bottom. The floors are clean, the aisles have air fresheners, the lobby is clean, the windows are clean, and the garbage in the garage is emptied regularly. The grounds outside are kept pretty well. They could do a better job cleaning the garage floor though and powerwash it more often.
The view depends on what side your apartment is located. I probably had the best view in the entire apartment on the third floor looking out over the creek. During the summer time you it's hard to see the buildings on the other side of the creek because the trees are dense and overall the view is beautiful and a large reason why I decided to rent here. In most places the view isn't as nice and is nothing special.
In terms of the local community, it's close to the Knollwood Mall. Wendy's, DQ, Gas Stations, A Tobacco Shop, Baker's Square, A Laundry Mat, and Walgreens are all within walking distance. There is a SuperTarget close as well as an asian restaurant and grocery store, BlockBuster, Firestone, Good Will, a Halal Grocery Store, and other convenient stores. It's near many other apartment buildings and there is a housing neighborhood close by as well.
Safety:
The area is not a bad area by any means nor is it the best. I wouldn't walk around alone at night but there's not many places I would. In general, it's a decent area, and I have never felt unsafe while on the apartment grounds.
Construction:
Most everything is soundly built and is in good order and condition. The heating system is a little weak in the winter time when everyone is using it, but the heat is included in the rent so I'm not really complaining. The AC unit, fridge, stove, dishwasher, and garbage disposal worked fine in my apartment. The plumbing is probably my biggest complaint concerning construction since the pipes are old and often clog. Also, when the hot water is used the pipes crank and make noises, even if other apartments below or above you turn it on. I think they cut costs on the plumbing and that's why there are these issues 25-30 years later today.
Maintenance:
My dishwasher was not great at first but I put in a ticket and they replaced it immediately. The same thing happened with the garbage disposal and they replaced it right away. Every time the toilet clogged (which was the largest issue unfortunately) they quickly brought up the "Snake" and fixed it. The maintenance staff were very friendly to my wife and I.
Staff:
Throughout my stay the apartment managers were friendly, elderly ladies. They were very nice and listened to all the issues we were having. Mr. Ginkel, who is the property manager that owns other apartments in the area as well, was also very nice to us and even came to our apartment once to make sure our maintenance issue was taken care of.
Overall:
In general this was a nice place to live. Most everything has been a positive experience except for the few things I noted above. The other tenants have been friendly and we have had no issues with any of them or any of the staff for that matter. Nothing crazy ever happened during my stay. I hope my review was useful.

Don't you feel so embarrassed that your long never ended review just show that you are the owner or relatives of the GINKEL? You just wrote bullsh*t and I am sure noone will ever read and believe you, idiot!
