This is the first apartment I rented after movin to US. So at first, it was too good when comparing the apartments I stayed in India. After few months, all the problmes started. But not to forget it has some good features also. But overall its is good only for new comers to US,money savers,bachelors with no expectations of good life stay. Here we see some Pro's and Con's. Well I start with Con's first, based on that you deciede about further reading.

The Ramsgate apartment is famous for the Indian Community in the Minneapolis.

Con's :

1) Hell lot of bugs and rocahes. I have many sleepless night due to bed bugs,eventhough i spary insecticides very month
2) Coacroaches will play in your food stuffs no matter how clean yo keep your kitchen
3) No ventilation at all in the kitchen, and the curry smell will be there in the whole house for two days(You will get a feel that you are enetering some hotels's kitchen ,when enetring house)
4) No proper pest control measures. You have to cry or make an argument with the management to send the pest control guys.
5) Basically the apartment is very old and even you will hear creeking sound from the house above you,when some one walks or making love :)

Are you OK with thsese...then go ahead and read the Pro's..sure something might interest you.

1) There is a large Desi community and you can find lot of Desi guys. (Mainly from TCS and its good for TCS guys who are coming for short term assignments as they find lot of friends there).

2) Frequent buses to Downtown from the door step. Express busses in the rush hour. Also you dont need a car if your office is in Downtown. There are many guys going to downtown daily and you can get some car pool also.

3) The American stores and Indian Stores are nearby. The American grocery store is in walkable distance and you can have a nice wlak for shopping in summer.

4) A very good shopping mall is in walkable distance

5) Good gym,but not excellent. But you can save gym fees paying outside ans also save time on going to gyms outside.

6) Ample car parking space and closed garages are available too on a fee.

7) In a decent distance from downtown.

8) Recreational activities organized by the management every month like continental breakfast,tacho dinner,dessert night,movie matinee etc..(mostly four activities in a month).

9) At last you can see some good looking Indian Girls,most probably singles (Onsite from TCS).

Anyway for me it was like heaven for the first six months, now looking for a change.

Good looking indian girls???? Tell us in which building they are living cuz I dont see any good looking Indian girl in last 1 year.
