I was a resident here for about 4 years and it was a much better experience after I transferred to the newer building. Elevator, LOTS less noise and problems with kids, better apartments and laundry, everything is better. The older buildings stink - badly lit hallways, bad smells, kids running around like crazy and banging on doors, security doors always propped or jammed open. Maintenance tends to be slow but no slower than anywhere else I've lived. The office staff is usually very nice. As someone else pointed out, there are a lot of immigrant families here which can make solving problems between residents hard. I kept renewing my lease because it was a good location for me and my rent increases were pretty reasonable. I'd recommend this community but only if you're planning to live in that newer building, don't live in the other ones.
