I had problems with the management of Blackberry Pointe from day one. No one it seemed was easily available to deal with my concerns as a new tenant in the building. With the management office only open during the week when most tenants are at work themselves, it was hard to talk face to face with someone who could answer a question. And even when I would actually talk with someone in the management office, again I wasn't able to get quick answers since the management company is off-site. I wrote a couple letters directly to the management company and never received a response. And while the apartments are nice, the design with the furnace room located in the bedroom made for some restless nights. The sound of the heater kicking on and off woke me up on several occasions forcing me to choose between heat or sleep some nights. My frustration led me to move elsewhere. However, Blackberry Pointe was inflexible about letting me break my lease or sublet the apartment although I had a willing sublettor. Further, while I was still paying on the lease although I moved out, my apartment was entered and cleaned, then a carpet cleaning fee was deducted from my deposit although the carpet was cleaned prior to the end of the lease not giving me the opportunity to have the carpet cleaned myself. I contacted the management company about this, and again did not receive a response. In summary, while the apartments themselves are nice, you'll find that dealing with the management does not make the exorbitant rent price worth it. I have lived in apartments in five states, and this has been my worst experience by far.
